Embedding Sustainability in Strategy

This half-day session explores practical approaches for integrating sustainability into organisational strategy and governance. The programme examines how sustainability considerations can be embedded in board processes, operational planning, and supply chain management, with particular focus on net-zero and circular economy principles.

It also addresses the role of double materiality in identifying priorities for innovation, as well as effective methods for communicating sustainability performance to stakeholders. Designed for directors and senior leaders, the session provides a strategic foundation for aligning long-term organisational success with environmental and social responsibility.

This session is designed for:

  • Company directors and board members seeking to embed sustainability within organisational strategy and governance.
  • Senior executives responsible for operational, risk, or supply chain management.
  • Leaders overseeing ESG, sustainability, or corporate responsibility functions.

By the end of this half-day workshop, participants will have the knowledge and practical tools to integrate sustainability into governance and strategic decision-making. They will be able to:

  • Apply practical approaches to integrate sustainability principles into organisational governance and board decision-making processes.
  • Assess organisational vulnerabilities and opportunities by recognising and addressing key existential risks.
  • Incorporate circular economy and net-zero principles into operational planning and supply chain management.
