Fraud Risk: What Directors Need to Know

11 November 2025 9:30am

Join us for our upcoming webinar, 'Fraud Risk: What Directors Need to Know'. This session will offer pragmatic, experience-based insights to help directors strengthen their approach to fraud risk management and governance in their organisations. Taking place from 9:30am - 10:30am, on Tuesday, 11th November 2025.

Corporate fraud is a significant threat to corporate integrity and reputation. Boards must be satisfied that companies have robust systems of internal control to identify and mitigate fraud risk. In this webinar, our panel will explore today’s fraud risk landscape, the warning signs of organisational vulnerability, and how boards can fulfil their oversight responsibilities without overstepping into management’s role. Our expert speaker panel include: Ian Drennan, Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Enforcement Authority and Maureen Kelly, Director, Governance, Risk & Internal Controls, Forvis Mazars. The session will be moderated by Dr. Margaret Cullen, Governance Advisor, IoD Ireland.

Drawing on extensive experience in investigation, enforcement, and governance, our guest speakers will share practical insights on:

  • Common sources and warning signs of fraud risk at board level
  • Lessons from investigations across corporate, charity, and public sectors
  • The evolving regulatory environment and directors’ responsibilities
  • Building a culture of integrity and accountability

Exclusive to members. This webinar is part of the IoD Briefing Series: Designed for Directors, sponsored by Forvis Mazars.
