This factsheet outlines the EU's agreement to scale back its corporate sustainability reporting rules under CSRD and CS3D. The goal is to simplify regulation and reduce pressure on businesses. Only very large companies - those with over 1,000 employees and more than €450 million in turnover - will have to report, with the same turnover rule for non‑EU firms operating in the EU. Listed SMEs and financial holding companies are removed from scope. Some early reporters get temporary exemptions, and reporting will be simpler and more flexible for those still in scope.
With around 600 people, including c.450 lawyers and professional staff, McCann FitzGerald are one of Ireland’s premier law firms. They are consistently recognised as being the market leader in many practice areas and are endorsed by clients and market commentators alike. Headquartered in Dublin, they have overseas offices in London, New York and Brussels. They provide a full range of legal services, primarily to commercial, industrial and financial services companies. Their clients include international corporations, major domestic businesses and emerging Irish companies. They also have many clients in the State and semi-State sector.
