In this session, Josh and Donal explored the key changes in the finalised Regulations and Guidance versus the original drafts, from the recently published statement and guidance on IAF by the CBI. The webinar also considered the implementation of the final Regulations and Guidance for Boards and senior executives of financial services institutions.
The Central Bank of Ireland, following a three-month consultation process, published their Feedback Statement and issued Regulations and Guidance to firms on the IAF on 16th November. The Feedback Statement confirms that the SEAR Regulations that describe responsibilities of specific roles and requirements of firms will apply to in-scope firms from 1 July 2024 and to (Independent) Non-Executive Directors at in-scope firms from 1 July 2025. IoD Ireland participated in the consultation process expressing the views of our members, which we sourced via survey and interviews. As part of this we held this webinar to provide members with further guidance and support on this key area.
