IoD Ireland Chartered Director Programme Graduation

News

Business Leaders were awarded with distinction at the IoD Chartered Director programme graduation yesterday evening.

The graduation included recent business leaders who had successfully passed their Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction exams, which constitute part of the IoD’s gold standard Chartered Director Programme. It also recognised members who became accredited chartered directors in 2023.

Caroline Spillane CDir, Chief Executive Officer, IoD Ireland, opened the graduation by welcoming all the members to the event and commending them on their achievements.

President John Reynolds CDir addressed the graduates and noted it was an honour to represent IoD Ireland and commended all the graduates on their achievement. John noted that the Programme takes dedication and commitment to investing in your own professional development. The ceremony included each graduate receiving a scroll of their achievement from IoD Ireland President John Reynolds CDir.

Special recognition was also granted to nine graduates who achieved the highest marks in the Diploma and Certificate exams. All of these graduates were also gifted with a certified native Irish broadleaf tree from the IoD, each of which will be planted and certified in the graduates’ names by Wolfgang Reforest. Each graduate was presented with a certificate including the coordinates of where the tree is planted in Co. Wicklow. Wolfgang Reforest is a not-for-profit social enterprise, whose mission is to start a movement of citizens and companies planting trees, thereby reforesting Ireland acre by acre.
