Darren Clarke Business Development Manager, IoD Ireland
Darren Clarke is Business Development Manager for the Institute of Directors Ireland. Darren is responsible for the sustainable growth of IoD Ireland including cultivating relationships with members, identifying partnership opportunities, and developing IoD Ireland’s Boardroom Services which include Board Evaluations and the Board Room Centre. Darren previously held the position of Business Development Manager at the largest independent macro-economic and strategy advisory – Oxford Economics. He has also managed the Americas Sales team at Legal 500, responsible for their overall growth and development in the region. Darren holds a BSc in Management and a Master’s in Business & Entrepreneurship from DIT.
Gillian Roddie Learning and Education Manager, IoD Ireland
Gillian Roddie is the Learning & Education Manager at the Institute of Directors Ireland, where she leads the design and delivery of director-level educational workshops and member learning initiatives. With over 20 years’ experience in third-level and professional education, Gillian specialises in programme and curriculum development, ensuring learning is practical, evidence-based, and directly relevant to the realities of board and senior leadership roles. Her work focuses on helping members get meaningful value from IoD learning , from short workshops to longer-form programmes, and supporting directors to build capability with confidence.
Colin Moreland Experienced Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director
Colin is an experienced Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director with over 30 years’ senior leadership experience in Pan-European financial services. He has deep expertise in board governance, risk oversight and regulatory engagement, having held Chair, Risk and Audit Committee roles at CBI-regulated entities. Colin is Former Managing Director at Citibank Europe, where he led major treasury and transaction banking businesses and worked extensively with the CBI, ECB and US regulators.
