Succession Readiness: Preparing for a Successful Transition

Webinar

IoD Briefing Series: Designed for Directors, sponsored by Forvis Mazars

Join us for our Briefing webinar titled, ‘Succession Readiness: Preparing for a Successful Transition’. Taking place from 9:30am - 10:30am, on Wednesday, 30th September 2026.

Succession planning is far more than a tax or legal exercise. It is a strategic governance issue that can shape the future direction, leadership and ownership of a business.

Join Laura Dillon, Partner, Waterland Private Equity;  Alan Murray, Tax Partner, Forvis Mazars; and Stephen Gahan, Tax Partner, Forvis Mazars, for a practical discussion on how founder-led, family-owned and privately held businesses can prepare for successful ownership and leadership transitions.

Drawing on advisory expertise and real-world experience, this webinar will explore the key decisions business owners, families and boards should address before formal succession planning begins. Topics will include governance, shareholder expectations, family dynamics, board oversight, and alternative routes such as investment, partnership or sale.

This session will be particularly relevant for directors, business owners, family enterprises, senior executives and NEDs seeking to support long-term continuity and business success.

Exclusive to members. This webinar is part of the IoD Briefing Series: Designed for Directors, sponsored by Forvis Mazars.
