This webinar will explore the critical area of financial statements, including the role of the board and the audit committee, the role of the external auditor, upcoming new accounting regulation, and the role of audit and risk management. Taking place as a webinar from 12:30pm - 1:30pm on Wednesday, 9th April 2025.
Join Vickie Wall, Partner & Head of Financial Accounting Advisory Services Ireland (FAAS), EY Ireland, and Colette Devey, Risk Consulting Partner & Chief Risk Officer, EY Ireland, as they explore the regular and emerging issues that boards/audit committees should consider.
Relevant to both financial and non-financial sector boards, this webinar will explore:

Vickie is a Partner in EY and leads the Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) at EY Ireland. She is also the co-founder of the EY Global Reporting Centre of Excellence in Dublin. With over 20 years of experience across Dublin, Sydney, and the USA, she specialises in areas such as assurance services, statutory reporting, technical accounting, and financial reporting optimization. Under her leadership, EY FAAS offers a range of services, including technical accounting advice, GAAP conversions, IPO readiness, and support for the UK Corporate Governance Code requirements, particularly the upcoming 2024 Code.
Colette Devey Risk Consulting Partner & Chief Risk Officer, EY Ireland, EY Ireland
Colette is a Partner in EY Risk Consulting Business, helping organisations navigate challenges and implement effective transformations. With expertise in areas such as Enterprise Risk, Internal Controls, and Third Party Risk Management, she works closely with clients to strengthen their operations and enhance their resilience. In her role as Chief Risk Officer for EY Ireland, Colette collaborates with the Managing Partner and the EY Ireland Board to support strategic initiatives and promote sound risk practices.

Dr Margaret Cullen is IoD Ireland’s Governance Advisor and a recognised national authority on corporate and fund governance. She brings a rare combination of academic depth and practical boardroom experience, making her one of Ireland’s most respected voices on governance excellence. Margaret supports IoD Ireland’s team of Board assessors, ensuring that each evaluation is informed by the highest standards of rigour, insight, and relevance. She has an extensive and distinguished track record of conducting Board evaluations across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, providing Boards with tailored, actionable recommendations to enhance their performance and governance practices. In addition to her evaluation work, Margaret is a leading academic in the field, having lectured widely on corporate governance, board dynamics, and risk management.
