AI Governance Toolkit
Learn more
The AI Governance Toolkit is designed to give IoD members a practical, board-ready resource they can use immediately to strengthen oversight of AI in their organisations. It will help directors ask sharper questions, identify governance blind spots, assess readiness, and build confidence that AI is being adopted in a responsible, strategic and well-governed way.
Not sure where to begin with the AI Governance Toolkit? Join our practical webinar on Thursday, 8th October with Ger Perdisatt, AI Governance Advisor. Ger will provide a practical 45-minute session designed to help you make full use of this valuable IoD Ireland member resource.
Ger will guide you through the complete toolkit, showing you what is included, where to find each resource and which tool can help address different AI governance questions. He will then use a practical example to bring the Shadow AI Audit to life, demonstrating how it can help identify informal AI use, uncover potential risks and support more informed board oversight. There will also be time for questions and discussion. You will leave with a clearer understanding of the resources available through your membership and the confidence to begin using them within your organisation.
The AI Governance Toolkit is designed as a practical boardroom resource for IoD members, helping directors move from general awareness of AI to structured oversight and action. It brings together practical tools, diagnostic questions, templates and planning resources to help boards understand how AI is being used across their organisation, identify governance gaps, clarify accountability, assess readiness and risk, and prioritise the next steps required to strengthen responsible AI oversight. It includes five pillars – 1) Shadow AI Audit; 2) AI Use Policy Builder; 3) Capability and Readiness Audit; 4) AI Quick Wins Planner; and 5) AI Strategic Radar, each of which includes a host of resources and guidance for use.
