Marie Collins CDir

Chartered Director

Marie Collins is a Chartered Director (CDir), a course leader on the Governance and Diploma Programme aspect of the Chartered Director Programme and is an Assessor on the IoD's Board Evaluation service. Marie is a Chair of Home Building Finance Ireland DAC, Bank of Ireland's Dawson MT dac and New Irelands Master Trust. She is an independent non-executive director with Dunnes Stores PT ULC and is Board of Trustees Chair with the Trinity College Dublin Foundation. Marie is an independent member of the Communications Regulator (ComReg) Audit and Risk Committee. Marie holds a Post Grad Dip in Corporate Governance from University College Dublin (UCD) and an MBA from Trinity College and is a Fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute in the UK.

This workshop is designed to provide pratical guidance to current and aspiring chairs on how to lead effective board and committee meetings while ensuring good governance outcomes.

The Chairing for Impact: Boards and Committees workshop is led by experienced Chair and Chartered Director, Marie Collins CDir. Sha has extensive experience in corporate goverance, board oversight and strategic oversight.

This in-person workshop will take place online from 9:30am -12:30pm on Thursday, 5th March 2026.

The pricing for this workshop rnages form €295 - €370, depending on your IoD Ireland membership status.

This workshop provides practical and useful overview of the roles and responsibilities of a Chair helping to set the scene and expectations for those in and joining the role.

Cancellation and refund policy

Places can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Cancellations and a full refund will be accepted if received in writing to [email protected] by 5pm on Thursday, 26th March 2026. After this date, no refund will be possible, and all fees will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation or non-attendance.
