Workshop on Understanding the Role and Responsibilities of the Board, its Chair and Directors - Cork

This one-day workshop on 'Understanding the Role and Responsibilities of the Board, its Chair and Directors' will be presented by John Smyth, Chartered Director (CDir).

What do I gain from this workshop?

  • A better understanding of the role and duties of directors
  • Increased knowledge of current regulatory and governance issues
  • Increased awareness of issues around directors’ liability

Previous delegate feedback:

“I thought John Smyth was excellent. He is clearly very experienced, but he doesn’t impose and allows good debate. I also found the interaction with the other participants helpful. It was valuable that there was such a wide cross-section of backgrounds and experience. Overall, a very good experience and very useful as a refresher on what is happening in governance. A lot of what I heard I knew already but there were some valuable new insights, and, in any case, there is comfort in doing the workshop by way of ensuring that one is keeping up to date.”

Tim O'Connor, Own Advisory Business (Sole Trader)
