This Handbook sets out in clear terms the general duties imposed on all directors as well as the considerable additional burdens imposed on directors of a financial services company. A downloadable and digital version of the Handbook is available for members below.
The aim of the Handbook is to assist directors to comply with applicable legal requirements while remaining focused on the core challenge of business performance. These include the Central Bank’s Corporate Governance Requirements.
This version includes amends from the publication of the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Bill in July 2022, and the establishment of the Corporate Enforcement Authority (CEA) as a standalone agency, to replace the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement in July 2022.
A digital version of this Handbook is exclusively available to IoD Ireland members below.
