IoD Ireland Announces Chief Executive Maura Quinn is to Step Down in June 2022

News

The Institute of Directors (IoD) in Ireland has announced that its Chief Executive Maura Quinn is to step down from her role in June 2022.

Ms Quinn, a Chartered Director, has been Chief Executive of IoD for almost 14 years and before that she was Chief Executive of UNICEF Ireland.

IoD President, Imelda Reynolds commented on the announcement:

“I would like to thank Maura for her very significant contribution to the IoD over many years; her commitment and dedication to our members, colleagues and partners has been exemplary. During Maura’s tenure, the IoD has developed into the market leader in director education in Ireland with the IoD Chartered Director programme amongst others and our membership numbers and member services have grown substantially and prospered significantly. We are well placed for the future”.

Maura Quinn, Chief Executive of IoD Ireland, said:

“It has been, and remains, an honour to lead the IoD. I would like to thank the President and Council for their steadfast support of so many IoD developments over the years, and I thank my colleagues for being on this journey with me, and the members of IoD who are so supportive of our work on their behalf. I will continue to dedicate myself to the organisation until June 2022 to ensure an orderly transition.”

Ms Reynolds said that the IoD would immediately begin the recruitment process for a new Chief Executive.
