IoD Evening Briefing - Corporate Governance: Remuneration, Culture & Reputation

05 April 2018 5:00pm

The focus on corporate governance, executive remuneration and corporate culture at listed companies continues to grow. However, private companies can also benefit from understanding and implementing relevant areas of best practice corporate governance, which can mitigate risk for directors and businesses and protect the value of companies of all sizes. As evidence of this, the first Corporate Governance Code for private companies is currently being formalised in the UK.

With regulatory, investor, media and wider stakeholder expectations continuing to evolve, the demands on, and risks for, directors and companies have increased significantly.

Sound corporate governance practices and communication are a touchstone of confidence in business and, trust in boards and management. Ensuring that directors are well informed of corporate governance requirements and developments is central to the effective operation of boards and businesses.

Registration

Registration will take place from 5.00pm with the briefing beginning at 5.15pm sharp, followed by Q&A and refreshments.

Places will be allocated on a first come basis.
