This workshop is part of the IoD Essentials Workshop Series.

What Do I Gain from this Workshop?

Participants on the workshop will gain a good understanding of:

  • The individual characteristics of effective directors and the collective characteristics of well-functioning boards.
  • The role of the board in driving cultural and ethical standards within a financial services organisation.
  • An understanding of the difference between parent and subsidiary company governance and related challenges for directors.

In this workshop, Margaret will take participants through the following key areas:

  • Legal – directors’ legal duties and responsibilities under the Companies Act 2014.
