Marie Collins CDir, Chartered Director

Being a director/trustee for a Charity is a very fulfilling role, however it can also be very challenging with onerous responsibility.  IoD Ireland is hosting this full day in-person workshop specifically designed for those in governing roles in these organisations.

This one-day workshop on ‘Leadership and Governance for Charities in Ireland’ will be led by Marie Collins CDir, Chartered Director

The nominal rate for this workshop is designed to prioritise accessibility for directors and trustees on the boards of charities rather than the officers and directors of for-profit entities.

The workshop will take place at the Irish Management Institute (IMI), Sandyford Road, Sandyford, Dublin 16, and is part of the IoD Essentials Workshop Series.

What Will I Gain?
Participants on the workshop will gain an understanding and insight into:

  • the role, responsibilities and leadership in guiding their organisation to achieve its charitable purpose by building a firm foundation for good governance.
  • how good governance goes beyond conformance with laws and regulation.
  • the skills and the practical approaches to good governance to assist in delivering lasting positive social impact for your organisation.
  • the governance challenges and developments facing charities.
