Overview

We are delighted to announce our next workshop with Carol Bolger, Chartered Director, titled 'Getting Yourself Board Ready.'

In this workshop, Carol will cover the following topics:

• Journey to becoming a director.
• Fundamentals of boards.
• Director effectiveness and best practice.
• Self assessment - What’s right for you?
• Building your toolkit and personal roadmap.

Workshop material is prepared by the presenter and produced by the IoD wholly and exclusively for use by workshop participants. Please note that workshop material will be provided in soft copy to all participants. 

Carol Bolger is a Chartered Director (CDir), a Certified Bank Director, and is the course leader on the Governance and Diploma Programme modules of the IoD Chartered Director Programme. Carol is also an Assessor on the IoD’s Board Evaluation service.

Carol is a Non-Executive Director of Link Assets Services Ltd and An Post. She is Chairman of Utexam Solutions Ltd, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, and incoming Chair of the Audit Committee of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Carol is a former Corporate Banker and worked with Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank. She is also a Fellow and former Board Member of the Institute of Banking, where she held the position of Vice President.

 Workshop Costs

• IoD members - €175 ex VAT
• Non-members - €225 ex VAT

Cancellations and Refunds

Places can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Cancellations and a full refund will be accepted if received in writing to training@iodireland.ie by 5pm on Wednesday, 5th May. After 5th May, no refund will be possible, and all fees will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation or non attendance.

CPD

IoD workshops may be eligible for CPD, including Chartered Director CPD. Please check with your relevant professional body.

How to participate in this online workshop

• Please note you will need an active microphone and camera to be able to interact in this workshop.
• To attend this workshop, please book and pay via the “Book Now” button above.
• All registered attendees will receive a joining instructions email closer to 10th May. This email will contain your registration link to access the workshop. Please press this to confirm once you receive it. 
• This webinar will take place via the online platform Zoom. Please download Zoom to your system before the webinar to ensure you can view the webinar.
• We would ask all registered attendees to do a test of the Zoom platform in advance to ensure it works for them. To do this, please click on the following Zoom Test page. If you need any further support, please visit the Zoom support page for more information.
