Please note this workshop will take place in-class in the Irish Management Institute (IMI), Sandyford Road, Sandyford, Dublin 16.
This one-day workshop on 'Finance for Company Directors' will provide an understanding of company accounts, evaluating financial performance, and the right questions to ask as a company director. It will be led by Caroline Kirrane, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder. This workshop will take place as an in-class workshop in the IMI and is part of the IoD Essentials Workshop Series.
This workshop will cover the below key elements.
Detailed review of the three main financial statements:
Categories of Performance
Review of the four major categories of performance: profitability, operations, liquidity and solvency.
Use all tools and techniques taught throughout the day to analyse a company and diagnose performance issues.
Workshop material is prepared by IoD trainers and produced by the IoD wholly and exclusively for use by workshop participants. Caroline Kirrane has over a decade of experience working in financial markets. After completing her undergraduate degree in France, Caroline began her career working in a hedge fund in Paris. She then returned to Dublin, working in US-based proprietary trading firm Susquehanna. She has held positions in Dexia and FinTech start-up Eagle Alpha and has also worked as an economist with the Central Bank of Ireland, advising senior policymakers on financial market developments.
Caroline has an undergraduate degree in European Business and French from Dublin City University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin and is a CFA Charterholder.

Places can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Cancellations and a full refund will be accepted if received in writing to email@example.com by 5pm on Thursday, 2nd September. After 2nd September no refund will be possible, and all fees will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation or non-attendance.
