Corporate Governance Code for Credit Institutions and Insurance Undertakings 2013 (effective January 2015)

The Central Bank Corporate Governance Code for Credit Institutions and Insurance Undertakings imposes minimum core standards upon all credit institutions and insurance undertakings licensed or authorised by the Central Bank. The Code also sets out additional requirements on institutions that are deemed ‘High Impact’ by the Central Bank, so as to ensure that appropriate and robust corporate governance frameworks are in place and implemented to reflect the risk and nature of those institutions. 

The Code was revised in 2013 and an updated Code published, which took effect from 1st January 2015.
