IoD & McCann FitzGerald Partnership Event - 'GDPR - One Year On: What Directors Need to Know'
One year on from the introduction of GDPR, the Institute of Directors in Ireland, in partnership with McCann FitzGerald, invite you to a breakfast briefing looking back at its impact. The session will also provide an opportunity to receive an update on relevant and applicable GDPR information and analysis.
The regulation overhauled and expanded the scope of EU data protection law. Companies that process the data of EU residents, must comply with the new requirements or risk incurring substantial financial penalties and other negative consequences.
This event, entitled, 'GDPR – One Year On: What Directors Need to Know' and hosted by McCann FitzGerald, will equip attendees with insight from the experts and advice on GDPR compliance.
The presenters from McCann FitzGerald will cover a number of topics at the event, including:
- An overview of key data protection developments from the first year
- A review of key obligations and their operational impact
- Potential future updates to GDPR, and any future developments
- Update on the role of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and interaction with board of directors.
