The emergence of aircraft leasing hubs in Asia: threat or opportunity?

Over the past 40 years, aircraft leasing in Ireland has grown from niche market to multi-billion euro industry. Ireland is home to 14 of the world’s top 15 leasing companies and accounts for over 40% of the world’s fleet of leased aircraft, and together Irish-based lessors manage more than €100 billion in aircraft assets.

Navigating in an age of distrust

The recent results of the Edelman Trust Barometer found that 63% of respondents in Ireland say CEOs should lead change rather than wait for Government. They want business to be proactive in addressing issues around health or the environment rather than waiting for legislation and regulation to be imposed. The clear message is that business has an opportunity to lead in the restoration of trust.
