Sinead Sweeney, PAYE Modernisation Change Manager, Revenue Commissioners will speak about PAYE Modernisation and Real Time Reporting.

• PAYE Modernisation and Real Time Reporting comes into effect on 1 January 2019 and will apply to all employers. The way in which we communicate and send payroll information to Revenue is changing. The objective of PAYE Modernisation allows the Revenue, employers and employees to access the most accurate, up-to-date information relating to pay and statutory payroll deductions.

Ken Killoran, Tax Director, Employment Tax and Global Mobility Services, Mazars will speak about Employer Tax Obligations in Relation to Inbound Employees to Ireland.

• With many employees coming to work in Ireland as short-term business travellers, short and long-term assignees and permanent transfers, this can cause headaches for all employers. Ken will address the Irish PAYE issues for employers to be aware of in relation to such inbound employees to Ireland, including the new Revenue manual that issued in this area recently.

Sinead Sweeney is the Change and Communications manager for the PAYE modernisation project. Sinead is a qualified Revenue professional with over 20 years tax experience. Prior to this role Sinead was the PREM audit manager for LCD with responsibility for audit and compliance across the division. She has extensive experience across diverse functions within the Revenue organisation.

Ken is a Tax Director and he has extensive experience in providing employment tax and social security advice to public sector organisations, multinational companies and Irish indigenous companies. Ken also assists organisations with PAYE health checks, Revenue PAYE audits and tax issues related to internationally mobile employees.
