Lunch Bites @ the IoD Webinar: Challenges and Opportunities for Irelands Economy

30 July 2020 12:00pm

In our next Lunch Bites @ the IoD webinar, Professor Alan Ahearne will address the COVID-19 crisis, which has driven the global and Irish economies into a steep recession. Public-facing elements of the economy have been the most affected by the Government's measures, implemented to contain the pandemic. These include, hotels, bars, restaurants, leisure, personal services and tourism. These sectors are dominated by domestic SMEs and micro businesses.

Over the course of the webinar, Alan will address the following key questions:

  • What does the most recent data tell us about the state of the Irish economy and the prospects for economic recovery?
  • What are the possible paths and obstacles to recovery?

Please note, attendees will be able to participate in a live Q&A session during the webinar.
