In this Evening Briefing, Matt Ryan, Co-Founder and Director, Press Up Entertainment Group, will share with IoD members the Press Up journey to date, and the challenges and rewards of running a high-growth business in the hospitality industry.

Matt Ryan is Co-Founder and Director of Press Up Entertainment Group.

Since Press Up’s official launch in 2009, the portfolio has expanded to 42 businesses, encompassing hotels, restaurants, bars and high-end cinemas. The group has 1,600 employees and currently has eight new businesses in development.

Matt is also Co-Founder and Director of Oakmount Developments, which has seen the creation of some of Ireland’s most iconic buildings over the course of the last five years. In addition, he is also Co-Founder and Director of Pure Fitout, based in Belfast.

Matt studied International French and Spanish in UCD, and graduated in 2001.

He is married to Emma and they have two little boys. Matt is a keen farmer and in his spare time he is always found out on the land.
