IoD Evening Briefing: AI - Powering Change in Our Time

20 November 2019 5:00pm

The world is changing. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the key technologies that is helping to reshape how we work and live. It has the power to improve how we work, and even enable scenarios and new markets we couldn't previously contemplate.

However, alongside the many examples of AI powering successful digital transformations, problematic scenarios have emerged from AI applications, delivering biased decisions or discriminating against minorities. Such outcomes do not just break ethical norms, but can have considerable negative impacts on an organisation's employee relations, customer satisfaction and share price.

Clare Dillon will share some stories of AI-powered digital transformations and some practical tips on how organisations can take advantage of these powerful new tools, while avoiding potential ethical pitfalls.
