We are delighted to welcome Mary Brassil, Partner, Employment Law, McCann  FitzGerald, and Eavan Gannon, Senior Consultant, Powerscourt Group, to speak at this IoD and McCann FitzGerald partnership event on gender pay gap reporting.

Mary Brassil will speak about the recently published Gender Pay Gap Information Bill 2019, and what mandatory gender pay gap reporting will entail for organisations. Mary will also discuss the many factors which contribute to the gender pay gap, and provide practical guidance on the steps employers should now take in order to prepare themselves for gender pay gap reporting.

Eavan Gannon will give an unique insight into the challenges faced by employers who will have to communicate gender pay gaps. Eavan will also provide guidance on how to implement an effective communications strategy.

Mary Brassil is a Partner in Employment Law at McCann FitzGerald. Mary advises on all aspects of employment law with particular experience in advising domestic and international clients on: employment; equality and industrial relations law issues arising from mergers and acquisitions; Transfer of Undertakings Regulations issues; corporate restructurings; cross border mergers; outsourcings and redundancy situations.
 
She also advises on all matters arising out of the employer-employee relationship and represents employers in contentious employment law disputes. Mary also has significant experience of advising clients in the financial services sector on executive remuneration.
 
Mary writes and lectures widely on all topics relating to her practice area and contributed the Irish chapter of “Global Legal Insights - Employment and Labour 6th Edition”. She also co-authored the Irish chapter of “The International Comparative Legal to Employment and Labour Law 2019” published by the Global Legal Group.

Eavan Gannon

Eavan Gannon is a Senior Consultant for the Powerscourt Group. Eavan joined Powerscourt’s Dublin office in 2018 following a 20-year career in financial services. She previously worked for Davy, where she was director of corporate broking and a senior private client specialist in the wealth management division. 

Focusing on corporates needs for strategic communications and investment markets perspective when engaging across all stakeholders, Eavan is a highly skilled adviser with clients including both FTSE and ISEQ listed and private companies. 

Eavan is a Licentiate of the Irish Institute of Bankers, a registered stockbroker and a qualified financial adviser and holds a BA(Hons) Econ and MSc Fin Services from UCD.
