High Performance in the Boardroom

As part of our ongoing work to share exclusive content and insights with members, we are delighted to invite you to join our upcoming webinar entitled, ‘High Performance in the Boardroom’ with Tony Gaffney, Corporate Director (NED) and Founder, Lambay Group. This webinar will provide insight on contemporary best practices of high-performing boards in a time of accelerating change. 
 
In this session, Tony will share insights from his recently published report, ‘High Performance in the Boardroom’, which he developed in partnership with 30+ leading board chairs. He will discuss the following key elements: 
 

• Authentic, unvarnished, and multi-faceted; the insights gleaned, as the chairs reflect on the accelerating pace of change that confronts them and how their practices are evolving to stay ahead.
• Participants' individual approaches to foundational areas of governance, essential to board effectiveness.
• The obligations of all directors to engage in continuous improvement.

Tony Gaffney is a corporate director (NED), experienced CEO and a former member of the Global Executive Committee of Aon Hewitt, responsible for the performance of the company worldwide.

Tony has had the privilege of working at board or CEO levels within some of Canada’s most respected organisations, including BCE, Weston/Loblaws, Aon, Altus Group, Toronto Regional Board of Trade and the United Way Cabine.

He has also served internationally, in executive leadership roles at Accenture, MCI Telecommunications and SHL Systemhouse.

Tony has an ability to think about issues from multiple perspectives and to contribute to board discussions by drawing upon CEO and transformational leadership experience, gained globally across multiple industry sectors at various stages in the organisational life cycle.

Tony recently launched the ‘High Performance in the Boardroom’ initiative driven by a passion to contribute to the corporate director community and a personal sense of obligation to engage in continuous improvement.
