In this webinar, Ciara and Áine will give a short refresher of directors’ duties under Irish company law, look at some of the key challenges that have faced directors and general counsel of Irish companies over the last 12 months and give some practical tips and advice to assist in navigating these issues over the coming months.

Ciara O'Herlihy is a Senior Associate in McCann FitzGerald’s Corporate Department. Ciara specialises in advising Irish and overseas corporates in relation to private company law matters, including private equity transactions, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate re-organisations, joint ventures and general company law and corporate governance issues.

Qualifications: BCL (Law with Politics) UCD 2010, BCL Oxford University 2012, Solicitor 2016.

Áine Murphy is a Senior Associate in McCann FitzGerald's Dispute Resolution and Litigation Department.

Áine has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of insolvency and restructuring law, including receiverships, examinerships, liquidations and consensual arrangements. Áine also has vast experience in carrying out security reviews and preparing enforcement steps plans for a wide range of clients with a view to advising on all options for realising/enforcing security.

Qualifications: BBLS (University College Dublin), Solicitor, 2012.
