Cyber Resilience, Governance and Board Preparedness

Central Dublin

In Partnership with Aon

Save the Date | CDir Network Event

19 November 2026 5:30pm

Chartered Directors are asked to save the date for the next event as part of IoD Ireland’s CDir Network.  If you are Chartered Director, watch out for your exclusive invitation to this event.

The exclusive event will explore the board’s role in overseeing cyber resilience, crisis preparedness and organisational response. It will take place on Thursday, 19 November 2026, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

Kindly hosted by Aon Ireland, the event will bring together speakers with expertise in crisis management, governance, cyber risk and insurance. Their discussion will focus on the practical questions directors should be asking and the steps boards can take to strengthen organisational preparedness.

As cyber threats evolve and expectations under regulations such as NIS2 and DORA grow, boards need confidence in their organisation’s ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from disruption. The consequences can reach well beyond technology, affecting strategy, operations, reputation and stakeholder trust.

The event will open with a welcome from Dr Caroline Spillane CDir, Chief Executive Officer, IoD Ireland.

John Frost, Managing Director of Resilient Management Solutions and former Head of Crisis Management at Marks & Spencer, will share practical insights from his experience in crisis management and business continuity, including lessons for boards and executive teams from major cyber incidents.

John will then join a panel discussion moderated by Peter Brady, Head of Risk Capital, Aon Ireland. The panel will also feature:

  • Edwina Ryan, Managing Director, Professional Services, Aon Ireland
  • Leann Moroney, Cyber Practice Lead, Aon Ireland
