CANCELLED: Lunch Bites @ the IoD: Governance in the Irish Health Service

As a consequence of the continuing uncertainty surrounding the public health impact of COVID-19, the Lunch Bites @ the IoD event ‘Governance in the Irish Health Service’, with Dr Peter Boylan, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, and former Master of Holles Street Hospital, has been cancelled. The event was due to take place on Thursday, 19th March at 12:30 in the National Concert Hall.

IoD Ireland very much regrets any inconvenience caused to our members and wishes to apologise for the short notice. 

Dr Peter Boylan is a former Master of Holles Street Hospital, and former Chair of the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Peter has authored two books, the Irish Pregnancy Book, published in 2020, and In the Shadow of the Eighth, published in 2019. 

Peter was an adviser to the HSE in relation to the introduction of termination of pregnancy services. He was also an Associate Professor, University of Texas, Houston.

Peter trained in St Vincent's, National Maternity Hospital, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital for Women, London. He was also previously a Clinical Director at the National Maternity Hospital.
