Overview

We are delighted to invite you to the next in our series of online networking events titled, 'Business Connections’, at 12:30pm on Tuesday, 25th October 2022. This event will be facilitated by Jean Evans, Founder, NetworkMe.

In this session, there will be three opportunities for IoD members to be randomly placed by Zoom into chatrooms, where you will be able to virtually meet with a small number of your fellow members. 

During the session, Jean will also provide a short introduction with tips and strategies to ensure successful online and in-person networking.

Jean Evans is an award-winning networker and founder of NetworkMe. She is an expert on all areas of networking. It is her passion, and one that is borne out of experience and plenty of trial and error, mistakes and mishaps. 

Through her blogs and social media channels, Jean shares tips, tricks, hacks and ideas on how to become an effective networker in business. She mentors, coaches, trains and speaks to corporates, organisations and associations about networking, both internal and external, offline and online to help them maximise their efforts, investment and energy. 

Jean is the current President of the Network Ireland Wicklow, she is also on the national Mentor panel within Network Ireland and was the 2020 Awards Coordinator for the Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

Jean’s mission is to help business owners and ambitious professionals to network strategically, effectively and with confidence to help them achieve their business goals.

How to Join this Online Networking Event 

  • Please note it is strongly recommended that your video is switched on and that your microphone is in working order to be able to fully participate in this online networking session.
  • To join this online networking event, please register to attend via the 'Book Now' button.
  • When you register to attend, you will receive a confirmation email to confirm your booking. In this confirmation email, you can choose to add this online networking event to your calendar. In this calendar attachment, you will be able to access the online networking event link
  • In addition, we will also send all registered attendees a joining instructions email on Monday, 24th October, with a link to where you can join the online networking event.
  • On the morning of the event, please then click the online networking event link in either your calendar invite or in the joining instructions email, and you will be able to view the online networking event. Please note it will prompt you for your email address before you can join, this is required feature of the Zoom platform.   • This online networking event will take place via the online platform Zoom. Please download Zoom to your system before the session to ensure you can view this online networking event.
  • We would ask all registered attendees to do a test of the Zoom platform in advance to ensure it works for them. To do this, please click on the following Zoom Test page. If you need any further support, please visit the Zoom support page for more information.

Please note, in advance of this online networking event, we will be sending the attendee list to all registered attendees. This attendee sheet will include the name and company name of all registered attendees (as per their membership details).
