Clare Nickson Havens

Sustainability Expert and Strategic Board Advisor

Clare Nickson Havens is an experienced, highly ranked bank expert and strategic advisor to boards. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Clare has recently completed a Master's in Sustainability Leadership from The University of Cambridge, where her research focused on the active mindset of bank board directors regarding climate response. She is also a co-author of 'Understanding what board characteristics are driving the climate change response of firms in the finance sector'. Clare speaks at sustainability and governance events, including the Sustex 2021 conference and the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments' 2020 governance webinar.

Clare is special advisor to the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Australia. She is a member of the Australian Sustainable Finance Initiative Working Group, the Finance and Investment Taskforce at NSW Circular, and the UN Principles for Responsible Management Education Working Group on Sustainability Mindset.
