Who we are

The Institute of Directors in Ireland is the representative body for senior, strategic business professionals in Ireland. Members include chief executives, chairpersons, board members, senior executives and partners of large national and international entities.

The Institute of Directors in Ireland is the leading voice in the debate on improving corporate governance standards in Ireland. Affiliated to the Institute of Directors worldwide, the Institute offers a range of training and services for its members to increase their effectiveness as directors. To learn about your role and responsibilities as a director and to develop your professional skills, knowledge and expertise through our highly regarded Chartered Director programme and extensive training workshops, why not join more than 1,500 fellow directors who are already members of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.

As a member, you will receive a free copy of the Directors' Handbook, a best practice guide to being a director in Ireland. You will also recieve a free quarterly copy of the IoD's official magazine Irish Director, along with a compliementary monthly copy of Director magazine, the official publication of the Institute of Directors in the UK.

As part of our service to members we have an expert legal panel comprising solicitors prepared to give advice to members on a non-fee basis provided such a query can be answered speedily. We also have a tax panel and each member of the Institute has the right to an initial free consultation.
